| The Kent Thameside Delivery Board which funds and supervises Fastrack organised a historic mini-bus rally between Northfleet and Gravesend to draw attention to the new services a week before the first 14 Volvo B7/Wright-bodied Fastrack vehicles went into service from Arriva's Northfleet depot.
With 3801, numerically the first Fastrack vehicle, two 50-year-old London Transport Green Line vehicles accompanied her on the run, sporting Northfleet running plates, and featuring Northfleet depot route blinds. RF 269 appeared with 725 running boards, whilst Green Line RT 3254 (LLU 613) - one of the small number of Weymann-bodied RT8/1-types - ran on the 498 service. |
